2nd IZTECH Quantum Days
The 2nd IZTECH Quantum Days was hosted by the İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) on April 17–18, 2025, in collaboration with QTurkey and the IZTECH Quantum Community, as part of the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025). Bringing together academics, researchers, and both undergraduate and graduate students from the international arena, the event aimed to disseminate and deepen the ‘quantum vision’ across Türkiye.
The symposium featured an intensive two-day program including presentations by invited national and international speakers, poster sessions, and showcases of specialized projects. The roster of speakers and supporting sponsors included prestigious organizations such as QLocked, NanoMagnetic Instruments Ltd., the German Physical Society (DPG), the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung, QuanTour, and The Science Talk.
A key highlight was the celebration of the Turkish leg of the Europe-wide QuanTour project. The event facilitated knowledge sharing regarding technical devices and resources while introducing experimental infrastructure in quantum optics and photonics. This initiative allowed for direct integration into international-level research within the field of quantum technologies in Türkiye.
The 2nd IZTECH Quantum Days served as a comprehensive platform showcasing both the theoretical and applied facets of quantum science, providing inspiration and a foundation for future quantum research and projects. This event represents a significant step toward expanding quantum awareness and capacity throughout the country. The list of speakers featured in the event is as follows:
